9 Unreleased Movies Of Amitabh Bachchan Every Fan Must Know

Amitabh Bachchan, the man himself, the living legend, the star of the Millennium, the Septuagenarian, giving young actors a run for their money, is all set to celebrate his 74th birth anniversary.
The actor, who made his debut in 1969 with Mrinal Sen's National Award winning film Bhuvan Shome, has given us numerous classics, which already have gained an immortal status. An institution in himself, Amitabh is revered by millions across the globe.
His rich body of work inspires many more, as he continues to go strong even at this age. While we all are aware of the hits he has given us, there are also a few misses.
No no, we are not talking about the flops, but about his unreleased work. In his 47-year career till date, 9 of his films have not made it to the theatres. In this listicle, we take a look at them.

1.Posters of unreleased movies, Devaa and Alishaan.

Devaa: In the year 1987, the showman of Bollywood, Subhash Ghai decided to come with a movie starring Amitabh Bachchan. The movie was named as Devaa. This project was speculated to be a blockbuster but was never even launched. A week later when Subhash Ghai started working on the flick, pack up was called and he never ever resumed the shoot further.
Alishaan: Soon after, when Devaa was called off in the year 1987, one more film starring Big B lost its track. This film was titled as Alishaan.

2. Khuda Gawah was planned to get released in the year 1978
Khuda Gawah is also part of the list, which contains such movies, which were destined to face a pack up forever. Ohh, we are sure, you are now rubbing your head after reading this because Khuda Gawah was released and is amongst the great of movies of Bollywood. But friends, this Khuda Gawah isn't the one you are speculating.
This Khuda Gawah was a dream project of a talented director Manmohan Desai. But unfortunately, this project which was most anticipated by the audience, the reason Amitabh Ji's double role in it, never turned into reality.

3.Yaar Meri Zindagi is actually an exception. Do you know why?
This movie faced a lot of struggles on its way to completion. This movie's production took a start in 1971 under the direction of Mukul Dutt but got stuck for more than 20 years and was eventually completed in the year 1993 and hit the silver screen in 2008.
The struggle wasn't finished yet because it was unsuccessful in making its way to the theatres across the nation and was released on 20 screens in Maharashtra

4. Apna Paraya failed to take a leap.
If was released, Apna Paraya could have made history in Bollywood. Starring Hindi Film Industry's hottest jodi of Amitabh Ji and Rekha was scheduled in the year 1972. Unfortunately, this film was tucked away and it lost its track.

5. A still from the movie Kala Patthar.
Sarfarosh deserved to be a Blockbuster but fate had something else for it. This multi-starrer flick was a venture of Director Manmohan Desai, who decided to make it with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Parveen Babi, Rishi Kapoor, Kadar Khan and Shakti Kapoor, amongst which Amitabh ji was in a grey role.
But like other five films mentioned above, Sarfarosh also lost its way to shore

6. Shiva had a spectacular role for Amit Ji.
Based on the theme of Lost and Found, the concept of movie Shiva clicked in director's mind in 1979. Shiva was a story of two brothers possessing pole apart persona. Amitabh Bachchan played a hot-headed elder brother while Romesh Sharma worshipped non-violence.

7. Dispute between Actors and Producer of the film was the reason behind its failure.

Embroiled in the quarrel between Producer and Starcast, this movie Tiger never reached it end. The movie starred some of the great faces of that era including  Rekha, Wahida Rehman, Sanjeev Kumar and of course Big B.

8. A still from behind the scenes. (KHABARDAR)
The reason behind unreleased movie Khabardar is still under wraps. The film was a serious drama featuring Amitabh in the role of a Doctor and Kamal Haasan as his patient.

9. Shinaakht featured Amitabh Ji and Madhuri as a couple.
Shinaakht was planned with an out of the box duo of Amitabh Ji and Madhuri Dixit. It was a suspense thriller where Amitabh Bachchan played an undercover agent and Madhuri a college going girl. Shinaakht's fate hindered it from getting released.
But we don't regret the failure of these movies because Amitabh Ji still is and will always be a Legendary Actor.
